Our United States customers are required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection to provide their Social Security number upon checkout for most Tuff-Shield purchases. Your SSN is used for identity verification and confirms that you legally reside in the United States and are permitted to import goods. We will request this information after you’ve placed your online order and when you’re contacted by our sales team to confirm payment method.
We request your SSN by telephone only, your SSN is never kept on file and upon completion of the required paperwork it is wiped clean from our systems. In most cases failure to provide your SSN prevents us from properly filling out the required U.S. Customs and Border documents and prohibits us from shipping your order.
